To make a long story short: Bad noise, made much worse by a badly managed staff with one staff member that will make you the problem. I've been living here and the biggest issue is noise. This is something that I directly talked to the staff about, at first in email and a second time in person. Even though any remodeling or construction work for the apartment seems to be over now there is noise throughout the apartment. I expect a fair amount of noise simply from being located downtown and that is not huge issue for me. However, the amount of noise coming from inside the apartment itself is not acceptable. In no room of my apartment can I not hear other residents. The metal fire doors are constantly slammed by people entering and leaving their apartments and this creates a huge sound that reverberates throughout the whole apartment. I can hear everything that goes on throughout the halls and most everything of my neighbors’ apartment as well. I tried to share my stress with the staff but that was an ordeal. When talking about the noise, it really felt more like pleading on my end and that they had me at their mercy rather than that they were trying to be actually helpful in any real way. Most of these interactions I happened to have with Rodney, who had handled the leasing for my apartment, just because he was in the office when I contacted them. After a cursory effort, he made it pretty clear that this was really my issue rather than theirs. While I asked what my options are (and had already researched a few myself, including soft door mod options), he did not ask about the actual level of noise and instead focused on how I did not talk to the neighbors to work it out. It became clear that he thought of me as the problem. I think the noise could be manageable if there actually were a competent staff. Stopping by the office, I saw five different faces, mostly working by themselves each time. So more times than not, I saw someone unfamiliar when I came by. With Rodney, it was a string of unhelpfulness and intrusiveness in many other ways as well. I get the feeling that good reviews re: him are because people didn’t actually need anything from the office. Their website is glossy, but now I know why it needs to be :/ They overcompensate actual service for false friendliness and advertising.
